TBA Studios Commemorates 10th Anniversary of Heneral Luna with Historic Bayaniverse Cast Photo

In a landmark tribute to Filipino cinema, TBA Studios recently gathered the principal cast members of the Bayaniverse trilogy for a special group photograph commemorating the 10th anniversary of the influential biopic Heneral Luna.

Captured by renowned photographer Artu Nepomuceno, the photo session took place at Gateway Cineplex 18 in Quezon City. The image portrays the lead actors from 2015’s Heneral Luna, 2018’s Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, and the forthcoming historical biopic Quezon as moviegoers immersed in a film screening, symbolizing a decade of cultural and cinematic impact shaped by these films.

The occasion also marks the theatrical debut of Heneral Luna, which premiered on September 9, 2015. The film has since achieved the status of the highest-grossing historical movie in the Philippines and served as the foundation for the celebrated Bayaniverse cinematic series.

Daphne Chiu-Soon, president and chief operating officer of TBA Studios, emphasized the broader purpose of the photoshoot: "We assembled the stars of our historical films Heneral Luna, Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral and Quezon to celebrate the shared experience of cinema and the electricity of a live audience."

She further stated, "This photo shoot fittingly encapsulates TBA Studios’ love for and commitment to Philippine cinema as we celebrate Heneral Luna and the 10 years since it came out in theaters. It also signals our excitement as we await the release of Quezon in Philippine cinemas on Oct. 15."
