Tropical Depression Paolo Poised to Impact Isabela or Northern Aurora by October 3
As of 11 a.m. on October 1, Tropical Depression Paolo is expected to generally proceed west-northwest, potentially making landfall over Isabela or northern Aurora by the morning or afternoon of October 3. However, forecasters have noted that changes in the strength of the high-pressure area situated north of the cyclone could cause a southward shift in Paolo’s trajectory.
The tropical depression was located approximately 760 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes at 11 a.m.
Earlier, at 8 a.m. on the same day, the low-pressure area east of Catanduanes intensified into a tropical depression and was locally named “Paolo.” This system marks the first tropical cyclone to develop within the Philippine Area of Responsibility for October 2025 and is the 16th cyclone recorded for the year.
Meteorological authorities continue to monitor Paolo’s development closely, advising precautionary measures in the areas within its possible path.
